Lessons in loss

By far, the most important life skill is dealing with a deep loss.
When you lose something deeply valuable, you imagine that you cannot cope without it.

Learning to cope with loss is a deeply spiritual process.

One realizes that to pin any hopes on anything that can be lost is a futile undertaking.

To hope for anything is to set up for loss. Be grateful for the that which you have now.

Be grateful for the simple things in life like sunshine, open blue sky, the ocean, laughter, watching lovers make out, and above all to remember your soul. This is true serenity.
