The self is fabricated. Created as a refuge from the demands of the world. A personal inner refuge and a world that we can dwell within. A protection from the harshness of reality. The fabricated self is a coping mechanism. And yet, it is that which creates the separation. For the fabrication of the self is the birth of separation. And the loneliness. Our gift that becomes the curse.
